PEI Culinary Alliance
Over the next 5 years, the ultimate goal is to collectively position Prince Edward Island as a premium destination brand in tourism and our key food exports – lobster, potatoes, oysters and mussels. This strategy will be led by the newly formed PEI Culinary Alliance. Our mission is to facilitate the development of innovative food industry partnerships, culinary experiences and promotional programs that serve as a channel for:
- Increased tourism visitations to Prince Edward Island
- Increased consumption of rural PEI food products on-Island, and
- Increased export sales of rural PEI food products
PEI Flavours is the overall brand of this initiative which will act as an identifying system for people to easily recognize local food products. PEI Flavours connects growers, producers, processors, chefs, restaurants, tourism operators and other culinary industry stakeholders through a single, united voice.
PEI Flavours is the umbrella brand connected to Buy Local/Buy PEI Program and Culinary Tourism. There are several initiatives that fall under PEI Flavours; one of them being the Flavours Trail – A Culinary Guide.
